Compare Heating and Air Conditioning is a family owned and operated full service contractor celebrating almost 50 years of operational excellence. Founded by Al Fraschieri (with his wife Helen), our company has extensive experience, along with a strong reputation for complete attention to detail and well thought out designs to meet our customer’s needs. Through three generations, we have continuously improved our offerings and researched new products to provide unique, customized solutions for every home comfort need; we will continue this tradition into the fourth generation as well.

In addition to our exceptional customer care, we are available to answer any questions or assist with your home comfort and design needs.

Meet Our Team

Al and Helen Fraschieri - Founders

Al & Helen Fraschieri started Compare Heating & Air Conditioning in September of 1963 in Walnut Creek, CA. As the quality of Compare's work became known around the local construction industry, they got the support and referrals of local contractors. Since day one, quality and attention to detail was of great importance to Compare Heating & Air Conditioning. This motto allowed Al & Helen to develop a loyal customer base.

After feeling confident that their children were able to uphold the reputation that they had worked so hard to establish, Al and Helen retired.

Mark Fraschieri

Mark Fraschieri - President

Mark started at Compare Heating & Air Conditioning when he was just 10 years old cleaning up the shop. As Mark grew up working along side his Dad, he decided that he would follow in his father's footsteps. After graduating from De La Salle High School in 1971, Mark went on to California State University, Chico to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. 

Mark joined Compare in 1976. Mark began by learning the trade out in the field and attending industry classes in order to fully understand the HVAC business. As of today, Mark is the President of Compare and is still maintaining the integrity and quality of work that his father instilled in 1963. He is married to his wife Corina and has two children, Keegan and Luke.

Jayne

Jayne Hardin - Office Manager

Jayne started at Compare Heating & Air Conditioning when she a young girl helping her Mom in the office. Jayne also decided to follow her mother’s career path. After graduating from Carondelet High School in 1974, Jayne went on to Diablo Valley College to earn her Associate’s Degree in 1976. In order to perfect the office managing skills she learned from her Mom, Jayne attended Heald Business College’s Office Skills program in 1977. She became a full time employee in 1985, and is now the Office Manager at Compare.

Jayne married Ralph Hardin in 1977. They have two children Kelli and Corey, and two grandchildren Jeremy and Ryan.

Ralph

Ralph Hardin - Estimator/Job Supervisor

Ralph began working at Compare Heating & Air Conditioning in 1980, shortly after marrying Jayne. Ralph graduated from Pleasant Hill High School in 1973. He then began a Carpenter Apprenticeship program and later earned his General Contractor License. Along with his carpentry skills, Ralph developed highly skilled copper and sheet metal work. His works can be seen in the Photo Gallery. Ralph now is an estimator and manages the new construction segment of Compare Heating & Air Conditioning.

Ralph married Jayne Fraschieri in 1977. They have two children Kelli and Corey, and two grandchildren Jeremy and Ryan.
